Good practice

The Greater London Authority and many London boroughs are leading the way in delivering innovative and creative approaches to tackle the causes of child poverty at a local level. This section provides a snapshot of some of the good practice already underway in the capital.

Current activity includes improving access to affordable, good quality childcare; increasing the incentives to help individuals into work, developing skills; helping individuals to access their benefit entitlements and access to good financial advice. All of which are key factors in helping to lift many of the capital’s children out poverty and improving life chances.
