JRF publishes report on ending child poverty18 February 2009 ‘Ending child poverty in a changing economy’, published by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation on 18 February, estimates that the Government needs to spend an extra GBP4.2bn a year if it is to halve child poverty by 2010. The foundation says that 2.9m children are currently living in poverty and that without the funds up to 3.1m children could be classed as poor. |
