Capital Gains – One Year On

Progress report on delivery of the Commission’s recommendations
March 2009

With 14 per cent of the UK’s poor children living in London, this is crucial to achieving the government’s target of halving child poverty by 2010 and eradicating it by 2020.

Undoubtedly the issue of child poverty and its specific features in London have received a great deal of attention over the last year. Many agencies have taken action or committed to taking action, but much more needs to be done. And the challenge has become even more difficult in the current economic climate.
